Jasmine Hatcher was born in New Jersey. At ten-years-old, she began drawing and teaching herself from the many books her father bought her. She has  illustrated books like My Big Natural Hair, Son, You are King, and I Am, We Are, a Children’s affirmation book among many others. All these pieces, created to encourage and empower children in her community, the very same support her parents constantly poured into her. Now, as she stands with her own business and webcomic comic, furthering her education at Howard University, she continues to give that same positive energy back to the world by doing what she loves, and taking on amazing and groundbreaking projects, just like this one.
